A Green Church serves churches in the mission of responsible stewardship, by both providing products and facilitating practices that help churches become more ecologically, socially and financially sustainable.
Introducing Compostable Communion Cups
A Green Church is beginning its work by offering a compostable communion cup. Many churches use small plastic cups as their means of distributing the wine or grape juice for communion. Plastic is unfortunately not biodegradable, and maintains itself as debris for an extremely long time.
In Partnership with World Centric
A Green Church works with World Centric, a leading producer of compostable products, in designing and crafting items and services that empower churches to become more ecologically sustainable.
In addition to our communion cups, churches can also purchase a wide range of biocompostable products (i.e. hot and cold cups, utensils, plates, trays) through World Centric. These products are excellent biodegradable alternatives for church use and are made from renewable sources.
